Waste Disposal Contractors
In addition to the steps described in Supplier Selection, Sunoco assesses waste disposal contractors by:
- Evaluating the "Execution Plan" to determine adequacy of management, resources, quality checks, performance milestones, etc.
- Evaluating price, schedule and performance guarantees.
- Verifying that the contracted firm has a substance abuse policy.
- Confirming adequate insurance coverage.
- Conducting an on-site HES assessment of reclaimers, recyclers and hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities prior to initial contract and periodically thereafter. The assessment verifies that the facility is in compliance with all applicable permits/regulations. Confirmation from regulatory officials is obtained as applicable.
