  • 2,130 barrels spilled (down from 7,483 barrels in 2004) 
  • 1,581 barrels being recovered (74.2% of the volume spilled)

  • 10 (decreased from 11 in 2004)
  • 901 barrels spilled (6,338 barrels in 2004)
  • 554 barrels recovered (6,300 barrels in 2004)

Class 3 Spills

  • 238 barrels spilled (216 barrels in 2004)
  • 131 barrels recovered (97 barrels in 2004)

The decrease in the number of Class 1 and 2 spills in 2005 halted a three-year trend of an increasing number of spills. Sunoco has been addressing this area through aggressive programs to identify and repair or replace aging infrastructure and to improve operational excellence.
