Our Commitment
Product stewardship is a key consideration in today’s business world. Sunoco's Product Stewardship Program works to ensure that our products are manufactured and designed to be safe and reliable for our customers in their intended applications. Included in this focus are the marketing, sale, transportation, handling, storage, use, reuse, and disposal of our raw materials, manufactured and purchased products, process streams and waste materials.
This commitment is codified in Sunoco's HES Best Practice on Product Stewardship & Distribution. The purpose of this practice is to:
- Assure that Sunoco's products and raw materials are safe for their intended use;
- Assure proper management of the HES impacts of Sunoco's raw materials, products, and waste materials to minimize the risk and exposure to customers, employees, contractors and neighbors; and
- Minimize any health, environment and safety risks associated with distribution of products and raw materials.
