Sunoco acquired this plant in 2001 when it purchased Aristech Chemical Corporation.

Haverhill produces a broad range of chemicals in technologically advanced operations and includes one of the world's largest phenol production operations. The plant is located along the Ohio River, adjacent to major railroad and highway transportation.
