Green Team
A total of 22 Philadelphia Refinery employees volunteered to be members of the refinery’s “Green Team”. The team’s purpose is to develop new ideas and programs for improving the refinery’s environmental performance. To date some of the ideas being pursued include:
- Conducting unit cleanups and audits
- Recycling and environmental awareness training
- Educational trips to local facilities where the refinery sends materials for recycling
The team’s goals include not only fostering a clean environment at work, but also providing employees with information so they can be environmentally prudent at home through prevention, recycling and saving energy. |
