Compliance
Sunoco's policy is to comply with both the letter and the spirit of legal or regulatory requirements. In addition, we actively monitor technical developments within our industries and adopt best practices, where feasible, that go beyond what is required.

As evidenced by the HES portion of Success sharing, Sunoco sets aggressive performance goals to drive continuous improvement in key aspects of HES performance. The following compliance data are "lagging indicators" of Sunoco's performance. However, Sunoco has developed leading indicators, such as near-miss reporting and PSM data, to help prevent incidents from occurring.
