Leisure, Play & Recreation Training for Senior Living
This activities course addresses the concepts of leisure, play, and recreation, emphasizing the role that leisure should play in assisted living/CRCF. Lectures and discussions on societal attitudes toward long term care and the stress it causes consumers will be discussed. Through participation in a variety of recreational pursuits, participants will explore the rules, techniques, strategies, and adaptations for successful participation by residents. Participants will also concentrate on psychological and emotional aspects of optimal experience and quality of life.
